FYP Updates merupakan wadah komunikasi antara Freshmen Leader dengan Freshmen (Binusian 2025) dan juga memberikan berbagai informasi selama kegiatan OTP, WOW, AE & Inaugurasi.

In attending lectures at BINUS University, Freshmen need to be introduced about BINUS 'journey, vision, mission, values and culture at BINUS University. 

In this session, Freshmen are expected to get to know BINUS better, especially regarding BINUS's efforts in education and the achievements or awards that have been achieved. 

This session is expected to foster new student pride, and furthermore, it can be an inspiration for Freshmen in the teaching and learning process at BINUS and be able to obtain the best results when graduating from BINUS. BINUS University leaders are also introduced before the Freshmen will meet and meet in person on campus.

Through this subject, Freshmen could find out more about BINUS Graduate Attributes (BGA) that needs to be developed throughout their college life at BINUS University. Fulfilling the attributes of BGA may guide the students to pick their career path, be it as an employee in a global company, an entrepreneur, or even a master’s degree and even a doctorate degree pursuer. 

College life will be different than high school. Throughout your college life at BINUS University, you will experience these FOUR stages, which are: Adaptation, Exploration, Actualization, and Contribution. 

Through this material, Freshmen will get information about learning system in BINUS University: registration, learning process, and examination. With this material, Freshmen expected to know and understand about the learning system that will support them in their study.

This course gives the information regarding the teaching and learning process in BINUS University, starts from registration, teaching and learning process and the exam. Instead of that, there will be several information that will support the Freshmen in the learning process.

Through this subject, Freshmen could learn more about how to adjust themselves with the University life, and cope with the transition phase. In their first year as freshmen, student might experience 5 stages of adjustment, or something that we might know as W-shaped adjustment model. These 5 stages are honeymoon phase, culture shock phase, initial adjustment phase, mental isolation phase and acceptance and integration phase. 

By understanding these phases, freshmen are expected to have clearer perspectives on their future journey as university student and able to maximise their potential throughout the process. To help students to prepare this journey, freshmen will explore their personality and their weaknesses and strengths. 

This subject also gives basic knowledge about student’s organization and supporting centre in campus as an important part of their ecosystem that might help them to grow during their study period.

Through this subject, Freshmen could find out more about Social awareness that needs to be developed throughout their college's life at BINUS University. Students who have social awareness will be able to take the perspective of and empathize with others from diverse backgrounds and cultures, to understand social and ethical norms for behavior, and to recognize family, school, and community resources and supports. 

Fulfilling the social awareness may guide the students to have ability about how to understand and communicate with people in a far better way, feel what they are feeling and saying the words that are the best fit for the situation, sense pain in others and take steps to alleviate it, feel the vibe of the group and be a champion in communication and problem-solving, be valued and respected for having above the average interpersonal skills, contribute toward solving your society’s problems in a most effective way, positively influence mental health, success in work, and have ability to be a citizen in a democracy. 

Through this subject, Freshmen could find out more about to search, write, and read that suit their academic and daily needs. 

By understanding how to search, write, and read well and correctly, students can avoid the occurrence of plagiarism in the writing of works and show professional attitudes in certain fields.
