Merpati Putih (MP)

The name of this student ativity unit is barehanded martial art Merpati Putih BINUS University abbreviated “PPS Betako Merpati Putih BINUS University”. Merpati Putih BINUS University was founded on March 3, 1993. The name Merpati Putih stands for Mersudi Patitising Tindak Pusakane Titising Hening which means “To Find Until Getting the Right Action with Tranquility”.

PPS Betako Merpati Putih (MP) is one of the barehanded martial arts (PPS Betako) and is one of the Indonesia's cultural assets, which began to form in the 1550s and needs to be preserved and developed along with the development and advancement of science and technology today.

Currently MP is a member of the Indonesian Martial Arts Association (IPSI) and Martial Arts Federation For World Peace (MAFWP) and The Inter-National Pencak Silat Alliance or PERSILAT (International Pencak Silat Federation).

PPS Betako Merpati Putih is one of the heritages of martial arts by the original Indonesian ancestors and aims to forge the personalities of its members in order to be virtuous, virtuous, strong, harmonious, dynamic and patriotic, according to Indonesian philosophy, namely Pancasila.
